Wight Bride Photography
Hi, I'm Jon, wedding, event and commercial photographer.

I grew up around photography.   Having an older brother who was heavily into photography, I could often be found in the darkroom that had been created in a cupboard at our family home.  After years of hardly touching a camera, my passion was reignited when my daughter decided to take GCSE photography at school,  and I ended up spending many hours accompanying her on shoots for her projects.

After attending a number of professional courses and workshops, I opened a studio specialising in family and newborn portraits.  After further training, I now specialise in offering reportage style photography combined with classic wedding portraiture.
The story of your wedding begins here - and we would love to be a part of it.
Why choose me for your wedding?

I'm a friendly and relaxed individual, getting on with most people that I meet.

It may sound like an old cliche, but my main selling point is me.  I am a friendly being and very rarely get stressed about anything.  I consider myself to be there for you, not just as a photographer but as a general assistant and my aim is to help make your day run as smoothly as possible.  It is unlikely that you will see me flap, rushing around or dictating when photos are taken.  You will however see me talking to guests, laughing and capturing the real atmosphere of your day.

I work to your requirements, not a predefined method

Whilst I prefer to work discreetly, blending into the background in order to capture the natural moments and emotions of your day, I will work to your specific requirements, capturing as many group shots as you wish, along with any special moments/items you may want to remember.

I cover the whole of England & Wales
As a photographer, I need very little equipment to undertake a wedding.   I do tend to carry more lighting control equipment than most wedding photographers, allowing me more options over the use of the days environments and thus more control over the images I can create.  But in essence, I can simply pick up my bag and go, making it as easy to capture a wedding in Carlisle as it is in Cardiff, Penzance or the Isle of Wight.  When capturing weddings away from my home, I travel up a day or two before, giving me a chance to visit where I will be working, allowing me to formulate some plans for the images I would like to capture.
