About me...

Whilst I was introduced to photography by my brother nearly 40 years ago, my passion was ignited 10 years ago when my daughter started taking photography at GCSE level and then onto A-level.  It was accompanying her on photoshoots across the Island that made me realise how much I enjoyed capturing people and events.

After some extensive training, I entered the wedding photography arena, combining this with property photography for a local chain of estate agents.  After a couple of years, I opened a photography studio, where I specialised in maternity and newborn photography, working in conjunction with two national maternity organisations.

Nowadays I am back to concentrating on weddings and events, constantly improving my techniques and expanding my range of equipment.  Recently my images have been seen both in and on the front cover of Island Life magazine and I am also the main photographer for the Isle of Wight Observer.

In 2017 I was proud to be a Gold Sponsor of Isle of Wight Pride, and their main photographer, creating images for marketing and promotional purposes, as well as being a judge in their photographic competition.

Apart from being a photographer, I enjoy music and have played the drums since a very early age.  As a teenager I had a mobile disco, providing the evening's music for many weddings, before becoming resident DJ at a couple of nightclubs on the Island.  I have a BSc honours degree in Social Science and am a member of several professional photographic societies.
